This elite certification is awarded by the Master Inspector Certification Board to experienced inspectors who have demonstrated a proven track record, a commitment to ongoing education, and the highest standards of professionalism.
Everett has completed specialized training through the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants. This knowledge equips him with the expertise to assess indoor air quality, identify conditions conducive to mold growth, and interpret lab results with precision—skills enhanced by his background managing coal sample testing in a laboratory setting. His combined field and lab experience ensures a thorough, science-based approach to mold inspections and reporting.
To earn his Thermal Certification, Everett completed advanced coursework in building science and infrared thermography, gaining a deep understanding of heat transfer and moisture dynamics. The training included both instruction and hands-on application, equipping him to accurately interpret thermal imaging data and identify issues such as hidden moisture intrusion, electrical hotspots, insulation deficiencies, and air leakage. This certification enhances Everett’s ability to diagnose problems that are not visible to the naked eye, adding a powerful layer of precision to his inspection services.

His military service instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, precision, and responsibility—qualities that continue to define his approach to both business and life.
Everett served as the Branch Manager of Clay Laboratories in Ashland, where he oversaw operations and conducted detailed laboratory analyses of coal samples for industrial clients. His work involved precise sampling techniques, adherence to strict testing protocols, and the interpretation of complex data sets related to coal composition and energy content. This role sharpened his scientific acumen, attention to detail, and commitment to procedural accuracy—all qualities that now enhance his diagnostic approach to home inspection.
Driven by a deep love of knowledge, research, and community engagement, Everett spent several years managing the W. Gordon Ryan Branch Library in Lucasville, Ohio. In this role, he curated educational resources, organized public programs, and assisted patrons with a range of services, from historical research to digital literacy. His time at the library not only reflected his intellectual curiosity but also strengthened his ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively—skills that now serve him well in the home inspection field. Whether deciphering structural anomalies or explaining the implications of a building defect, Everett brings the same commitment to clarity, accuracy, and lifelong learning that defined his time in public service.
Everett served as a liaison between the general contractor and subcontractors during the construction of 28 residential units for the Portsmouth Metropolitan Housing Authority. His role provided comprehensive exposure to all phases of residential construction—from site layout, footings, foundations, and framing to the installation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, culminating in final roofing and finish work. In addition to his construction experience, Everett is an active real estate investor with a portfolio that includes single-family homes and multi-unit apartment buildings, further deepening his understanding of property performance, maintenance, and long-term asset value.
